A Day of Needlepoint in Pacific Heights, San Francisco
Share
Some of you may be here because you watched some of Isabella's TikToks where she would chronicle her Friday walks to our LNS, Golden Gate Needlepoint. We thought she would document the highlights of a day in her life to give suggestions on what you might be able to do when visiting San Francisco:
morning at home: binding needlepoint canvases
We run Postcard Row wherever we can out of our two two-bedroom apartments in Pacific Heights. This sometimes means getting up early to bind needlepoint canvases at our dining tables before running them down to the post office.

and we're off to run errands around Pacific Heights!
first stop: USPS (1849 Geary Blvd, San Francisco)
We ship almost all of our packages via USPS, and always try to take a bunch of orders at once!
snack time: b. patisserie (2821 California St, San Francisco)
One of the best bakeries in the City, known for their Koiugn Amann pastries, is b. patisserie. I went for a regular Kouign Amann this time but their seasonal pastries were calling to me! I wouldn't let the line fool you, it moves pretty quickly, but it's sometimes hard to snag a table here. B. Patisserie is also a usual stop on the walk over to the next stop, Golden Gate Needlepoint.
main event: Golden Gate Needlepoint (3310 Sacramento St, San Francisco)
I walk to GGN almost every Friday to kit canvases, which is insane that I always have new canvases to kit. Most of the time they are new Postcard Row samples! This time I was waiting to pay so decided to peruse their "new arrival" drawer. I discovered these Painted Ladies pillows that I will be dreaming about until I finish some of my current pillows in progress!
dinner: Chouquet's (2500 Washington St, San Francisco)
I loooveee French food and Chouquet's is one of our neighborhood staples for dinner. You can usually get a table without a reservation and it's a friendly neighborhood vibe! I love to get either steak frites or the short rib (below).

dessert: Salt and Straw (2201 Fillmore St, San Francisco)
Salt and Straw is now in most major cities, but that doesn't mean it's not a good stop for dessert! My favorite classic flavor is Cinnamon Snickerdoodle.
And that's a wrap on the day! We love the Pacific Heights neighborhood of San Francisco and highly recommend a visit here if you ever find yourself in the city. Let us know what else you might want to see!

Bridget and Isabella
