Alzheimer's is a heartbreaking disease that has affected several people in both of our families and many others out there. As many of us know, Alzheimer's affects more than just the person who is living with the disease -- it affects almost everyone they know, but especially their caregivers. Because of this, we wanted to figure out a way that Postcard Row could give back and support those searching for a cure that has touched so many lives.
We designed the Forget-Me-Not canvas, inspired by the flowers that are carried during the various Walks to End Alzheimer's held annually across the country. For those unfamiliar with the Walk, each flower represents something different: The purple flower represents that you have lost someone to Alzheimer's or dementia; the yellow flower represents that you are supporting or caring for someone with Alzheimer's or dementia; the orange flower represents that you support the cause and a vision of a world without Alzheimer's; the blue flower represents that you have Alzheimer's or dementia.
All profits from our Forget-Me-Not canvas will be donated directly to the Alzheimer's Association. If you would rather make a donation directly, you can do so here.
The San Francisco Walk to End Alzheimer's is taking place on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at about 10am at Pier 27 along the Embarcadero. We would love if you would join our team and join us at the walk! We hope to see you there.
xoxo,
Bridget and Isabella
